How's it going, G.O. readers? I hope you all have been having a great week so far. I got a little extra bit of excitement today when I received my first Black Friday email! Yay! Even though I told myself I wasn't going to go out into the craziness this Thanksgiving, I still enjoying finding out what kinds of sales the stores will be having. Every Thanksgiving since I've been an adult, it's been a tradition to leave out and get the morning paper to check out all the sales. The Thanksgiving paper is always thick and juicy and filled with potential Christmas goodies (hopefully at a great price).
Even though I will go out and do some minor shopping on Thanksgiving morning (once I'm done with my mac and cheese), I think the majority of my shopping will take place online. This year, I'm going to do my best to truly enjoy Thanksgiving without feeling like I have to cut it short so that I can go home and rest, to get prepared to go stand in long lines and push my way through a sea of deal-hungry people who will stop at nothing to save a few bucks. No. Not this time. If anything, I may go out on Black Friday itself, just to be apart of the energy of it all, (it's not quite as bad if you're not hunting for any item in particular and you're just casually strolling about).
PS,
I'm also really excited that my cookbook is on the way that I ordered from QVC! It's by David Venable, called "Back Around The Table". Can't wait!
Okay....hope all of you enjoy Wednesday night (or maybe it's daytime on Thursday for some of you).
Peace, love, and chicken grease!
